The new Geneva Lab ranges of iPod attach accessories, which will be available in Australia in November start at $1,500 right up to $3,500. In the USA the top end XL model is selling for $1,790 which at today's exchange rate is $1,500 cheaper than the Australian retail price.
The high end $3,500 Geneva Sound XL model looks like a box on a stand. It is a single cabinet sound system made out of piano lacquered wood. It has built-in stereo tweeters, woofers and 8 inch subwoofers and is powered by a 600-watt digital amplifier.
Geneva Labs claim that It has a wide frequency range, from a deep bass to clear highs and its ample power delivers high quality sound.
In what is a contradiction in terms the device also has a single CD player along with an iPod dock however one is not able to transfer content from a CD to the iPod.
The bottom end M model which is selling at $1,500 compared to $799 in the USA is a complete, multi-function stereo system in a single wood cabinet. It's a tabletop size and has four speakers, independently powered by a 100 watt digital amplifier. It has an iPod Universal Dock however the model shown to dealers last night in Sydney would not work with the new Apple 3G  iPhone which comes with 16GB of storage and full iPod capability.
