As thin as the 8.9 Tab it also debuted today, Samsung's new Player measures a sleek 8.6mm and weighs just 6/4.2 ounces each.

The 4" and 5" Galaxy Player LCD (800 X 480) touchscreens are like the Galaxy S II cellphone but without the cell - just a purely pocketable "entertainment experience," say Samsung.

But Player still offers the best of Android, running 2.3.5, Gingerbread, WiFi,front and rear cameras for Skype chats and Bluetooth, 8GB memory with microSD slot (up to 32GB) and voice recorder.
