Danish audio player Bang & Olufsen have buffered up their range with a new set of wired earbuds, the Beoplay E4.

Pitched as a stylish and essential accessory for commuters and frequent-fliers alike, they say “Beoplay E4 brings you the power of silence, when and where you need it while always delivering on the precise and powerful audio quality that you’d expect from a B&O PLAY product.”

The big feature here is the noise-cancellation built into the E4. According to the company, they suppress up to 15dB more low-frequency noise than previous efforts and leverage a lot of the same technology found in B&O’s flagship H9 headphones.

They say the “Beoplay E4 registers incoming ambient noise and music from the earphones, separates the two and generates a signal that blocks out the unwanted noise from e.g. aeroplanes, trains and working environments.”

B&O say that the E4’s transperancy mode will make it easy to get the most out of this feature.

According to them, “with just one quick gesture you can turn off the music and ANC at the same time to tune into your surroundings. Using the same gesture will turn on ANC and start the music where you left of.”

Beoplay E4 launches on June 15 for a suggested retail price of AUD 379.

There’s only one color on offer (black) but it comes bundled with a charging cable, a flight adapter, four different silicone ear tips, one pair of Comply Memory Foam Ear Tips and a carry drawstring bag.
