Razer have announced a fresh play for console gamers with their new Thresher Ultimate wireless headset.
“We are taking our expertise in designing the very best PC gaming hardware into the console arena,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO.
“These are the most reliable and best-sounding wireless console headsets ever made.”
The new headset delivers Dolby 7.1 surround sound, 50 mm drivers, cooling-gel infused ear cups (cushioned by memory foam) and features a retractable digital microphone for clear voice communication thanks to a unidirectional mic boom design.
Whether you’re using an Xbox One or Playstation 4, the headset promises to offer consistent performance up to 40 feet and 16 hours of battery life.
On the former, the Thresher ultimate features on-headset controls for mic volume, game and voice chat balance while the former lets the user toggle the master volume of their console.
The Thresher Ultimate is available from June at an RRP of $429.95 from Razer’s own online store and is expected to arrive in retail partners like JB Hi-Fi and EB Games shortly after that.
