Sony Z1 Mini-Me To Hit OZ

Announced at CES 2014 this week, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact has a 4.3 inch TRILUMINOS screen (1280x720) , 2.2 GHz quad core  Qualcomm MSM8974 processor and a 20.7mp camera

So, basically everything the original Xperia Z1 has, but in a smaller size.

It weighs 140g and has a solid aluminium frame.

Telstra confirmed the 4G phone will be available from April, Andrew Volard, Telstra Director of Mobile wrote on a company blog.

Z1 compact comes in white, black and pink and runs Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).

It's waterproof (up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for 30 minutes), with a IP55/IP58 rating, which means it resists even tiny dust particles.

You can take pictures while swimming in freshwater for up to 30 minutes. You can even dive up to 1.5 metres with it.

Telstra's pricing and availability are yet to be finalised, however, in the UK it is being sold outright for 430 pounds.
