For its price, the LG Optimus F3 has very good specs; a 4 inch IPS screen, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 4GB internal storage (up to 32GB external), 5mp rear and VGA front camera.

It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

LG has kitted the budget Optimus with features introduced in top end handsets including: QuickMemo, Time Catch Shot which buffers photos for up to 2 seconds, and QSlide 2.0 that lets you have three apps open simultaneously on the same screen.

Lambro Skropidis, Manager Marketing for LG Australia, says the mobile company wants 4G devices at affordable pricing.

"Price, however, is just one of the many attractions of this device and we have worked extremely hard to pack in our latest user friendly software features to optimise the usability of the handset."

The LG Optimus F3 will be available through Telstra stores and dealers including Leading Edge and FoneZone, pricing will be RRP$249.

Telstra's 4G coverage extends to all capital CBDs and associated airports, many surrounding suburban areas and more than 100 regional locations.
