$45,000 iPhones Stolen From JB Hi-Fi

51 new iPhones valued at approximately $45,000 were stolen from a JB Hi-Fi store at Modbury, Adelaide on Sunday last.

The incident occured at about 3pm on 12 January when four men entered the store and two broke into a locked cupboard and made off with the Apple phones, while the others distracted staff members.

The models stolen are believed to be the newly released iPhone 5s, which starts at $869.

It was not until after the men left that the theft was apparent.

Police believe this is an organised group working nationally targeting electronic devices at large stores and shopping complexes.
