Skype announced the launch of Skype Prepaid Cards in Australia and New Zealand, for low rates on global calls and Skype Premium services including Group Video Calling.
Skype Prepaid Cards are available from tomorrow and can be purchased from BP petrol stations, Harvey Norman, Allphones, and Caltex.
The prepay cards will hit 7-Eleven and The Warehouse NZ, with additional retailers to be announced, Skype said today.
The Prepaid Cards give the usual free Skype-to-Skype audio/video calls unlimited monthly calling plans, plus paid services like low per-minute calling rates, group video calls and connection to over one million global WiFi hotspots, depending on the type of card bought.

Skype Prepaid Cards will be sold for $10 and $25.
This is a significant new direction in Skype's local retail strategy, says Skype's Nick Gundry, Head of Market Development, Australia/NZ and Asia.
