The indoor exercise bike has built-in Wi-Fi to access iFit Live powered by Google Maps to ride anywhere in the world, including the mountain stages of the Tour de France, and the final 30km ride into the Champs-Élysées.
ProForm cyclists can watch a Google Street View of their course by logging on to an iFit account via their smartphone or tablet and placing it in the cradle on the console.
Geo-data imbedded in Google Maps automatically adjusts the cycle's inclination and resistance to simulate the terrain. Riders can climb up to a 20 percent incline or race down a 20pc decline.
Users change gears just like Cadel or any of the Tour riders, and measure their performance via an inbuilt watts meter.
- CDN is unaware of any Australian distributor, but the Tour de France indoor cycle is marketed by ProForm.com of Utah, USA at US$1299.
