In a move aimed at trying to grab market share wherever they can, Acer has launched two new 3D projectors despite consumers turning off 3D in favour of high quality TV displays.
The Taiwanese Company said their patented image technology found inside the new H6510BD delivers exceptional image quality, high brightness and superior colour reproduction for less than $1000.

David Sunton, General Manager of Marketing at Acer Australia said in a press release that when connected to a 120Hz source, the Acer H6510BD is capable of producing flicker-free 3D images by utilising active shutter DLP Link 3D glasses to sync the image at 60 frames per second.
The only problem in Australia is that users are not able to connect to a 120Hz source as the most common source is 100Hz or 200Hz.
The projectors also have real-time 2D-to-3D conversion capabilities. This allows any 2D source, such as Blu-ray movies, DVDs and broadcast TV to become 3D, simply by turning on the 2D to 3D converter in the on-screen menu.
