D-Link who underwent a major revamp last year in Australia that resulted in significantly increased sales from the consumer networking market is set to roll out a new portable router and charger that lets users create a Wi-Fi hot spot and also acts as a rechargeable battery for mobile devices.

Described as the world's first portable Wireless AC router, the Wi-Fi AC750 Portable Router and Charger(DIR-510L is ideal for customers on the go who have more than one wireless device that needs to connect to the Internet. The new portable router measures just 5.5 inches long and 0.63 inches thin, making it small enough to stick it in your back pocket.

Features include simultaneous file sharing, 3G/4G/LTE modem connectivity, dual-band technology, and the ability to set up separate Wi-Fi networks on the each band. 

Its two built-in USB ports mean it can also stream content from a connected USB drive to multiple mobile devices using a free D Link mobile app.

Universal Plug and Play and built-in DLNA server enable users to stream multimedia across devices, including smart TVs, gaming consoles and media PCs. The AC750 also has a built-in 4,000 mAh rechargeable battery to charge portable devices.

The device will go on sale shortly in Australia.
