What is not known is whether the earthquake will delay the launch in Australia of the new Toshiba tablet, which was due to be launched in May.
Rob Wilkinson, the General Manager of Toshiba Australia’s Information Systems Division (ISD) was due to fly out to Japan today to finalise the configuration and supply timetable for the new device along with several new notebooks that Toshiba is planning to launch this year.
According to Selena Adams PR Manager for Toshiba Australia the trip has been cancelled following the earthquake. She said that Toshiba was unsure what impact the earthquake would have on the launch of the new Toshiba Folio Tablet in Australia.
