In a desperate bid to take what it can before the unveiling of Apple’s next generation iPhone, BlackBerry has launched the 9790 on Telstra’s network specifically for business customers.
Telstra is positioning the 9790 as an ideal business device, one where professionals will appreciate its “compact design”; however, the hostile smartphone market has seen its repertoire deemed mediocre at best.

It has a 1GHz single core processor, 768MB of RAM, a 2.45 inch touchscreen, a 5MP camera on its rear and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
Despite the ordinary spec sheet, it does have a couple of things going for it. The first is the loved BlackBerry Qwerty keyboard, while the second is BlackBerry’s enterprise software.
The Managing Director of Research in Motion, Matthew Ball, was “pleased to introduce the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 to the Australian market.”
“We know that businesses will love the latest powerful BlackBerry Bold device which runs on the BlackBerry 7 operating system.
“Users will also appreciate its slim and sleek design and its outstanding productivity, multimedia and social connectivity features.”
Businesses and organisations interested in ‘equipping their fleet’ with the BlackBerry 9790 should get into contact with a Telstra Business Manager.
