Taking a squiz at the lay of the land these days, doesn’t require the loan of a helicopter or hiring a crane.
All that’s needed to take clear footage and highly detailed
pictures is a dazzling Kaiser Baas Alpha Drone.
The very latest of its genre, this deeply talented
eye-in-the-sky maestro is the forerunner of the brand’s S-Series Drones.
As you’d expect from a model designed to show case what
Kaiser Baas can achieve with a modern drone, the Alpha Drone has cutting edge
features.
Whilst it’s built to fly like a bird, the Alpha Drone has
the eye of an eagle thanks to its ability to record video in High Definition
720P mode at 30 fast frames every second.
Still pictures are shot at 2 Mega Pixels that are more than
ample to record fine detail at dizzy heights.
The Alpha Drone was a pleasure to fly. Its lightweight but sturdy body weighing in at just
109 grams banks and turns flawlessly using a built-in 6-axis gyro controller
which also makes for rock steady stabilization in flight.
Range is more than ample for most reconnaissance tasks and
was good for about sixty metres.
Kaiser Baas builds the Alpha Drone to suit experienced and
newbie drone fans. A Transmitter with an integrated display screen allows you to trim and
adjust flight and navigation controls with a response that’s crisp and
accurate.
The screen also allows you to navigate your way through
features including photo and video capture, and the drone’s natty 3D Eversion
mode merely by pressing a button.
The Power supply for the Alpha-Drone’s transmitter is by a
compliment of six readily available and inexpensive AA batteries. The Drone is
powered by its own supplied, in-built rechargeable battery.
Another handy feature is the Drone’s
on board Micro SD card recorder, meaning even if the Alpha Drone flies out of
range, it is still capturing footage.
Getting the Drone ready to fly was as easy as snapping in
the unit’s Rotor Guards and Landing gear and inserting the six batteries.
A plug n’ play setup procedure tailored for the average
person and one that takes minutes rather than hours to complete.
After lift off it was smiles all round as we recorded our
afternoon trekking on a beach and followed by the ultimate selfies – still
pictures of our group taken from various vantage points and height in the air.
The Alpha Drone is the harbinger of an entire Kaiser Baas S-Series
range. We can’t wait to get our pinkies on the likes of the Gamma Drone that
will have Wi-Fi capabilities with a smartphone viewfinder or the Delta Drone, biggest in the series.
No wonder the folk at Kaiser Baas are so excited.
”We couldn’t resist the urge to develope a range of
drones.because…are you kidding me? They’re DRONES!” says Senior Product
person, Tom Ludlow who must have the best job in the company.
”The S-Series is our newest addition into the range and the
models allow our consumers to capture more footage, more memories from even
more exciting angles. Who doesn’t want a view from the top?
Attention has also been paid to build quality and finish.
Kaiser Baas has chosen a super-sleek profile for its drones drawn from concept
super cars and superbikes. The livery is eye arresting in red and black.
The Alpha Drone costs $199.95 and the price includes the
Alpha Drone, transmitter, Replacement Rotor blades, Rechargeable drone battery,
USB drone charger, 2G Micro SD card, a USB Micro SD card reader and there’s
even a Philip Head screw driver.
