I-mate has released the Jama 101 and 201, two affordable smartphones which the company claims, will ‘appeal to the savvy consumer, as well as enterprise and small business customers.’

These new smartphones will be available in over 250 retailers including Powerhouse, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Harris Technology and Organiser World, as i-mate has teamed up with Ingram Micro to distribute its products.
i-mate’s General Manager for APAC, Michael Cavey said, “With the broader market beginning to appreciate the top quality big touch screens, mobile TV services and ease of use, native to i-mate’s latest smartphone range, i-mate devices are appealing more and more to mainstream consumers. Ingram Micro is a perfect fit to bring the right i-mate to the right consumer. We are now able to deliver the i-mate smartphone range from the Jama’s right through to the Ultimates to all via Ingram’s full range of highly regarded retailers including Dick Smith and Office Works.”
The Jama device runs on Windows Mobile 6, sports a 2.4 or 2.5-inch TFT LCD screen, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz, 2.0-megapixel camera sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD card slot.
The i-mate Jama 101 and 201 are available now from Dick Smith & Powerhouse and will have an RRP of $489.
