Alcatel, the company that has spent the last 18 months carving up the Australian smartphone market with their cost-effective range of mobiles has used IFA to reveal a brand-new budget model.
Shortly Alcatel who are now the #3 smartphone brand in Australia will roll out a brand-new online store where several products that are currently sold overseas will be available to Australian consumers. The new products ranged will include the likes of two in one notebooks, tablets, smartwatches and a range of mobiles not currently stocked by retailers or carriers.
Also set to go on sale in the new store will be TCL TVs. Alcatel is a division of TCL a major maker of TVs in China.
The new Alcatel SHINE LITE is a premium looking and feeling smartphone despite it’s rather low price tag. It is expected to be ranged in the new Alcatel online store, this has not been confirmed yet by Alcatel Australia management.
The SHINE LITE has a 5.5-inch 720p resolution IPS display screen and sports a glass and metal design, with 2.5D glass on both the front and the back of the device.
It also has a 13-megapixel camera around back with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Alcatel has also included a front-facing LED flash that allows you to get those perfect selfies in any lighting.
The rear camera has a dual-tone LED flash, for more accurate colours, especially in low light. Surprisingly enough, the Alcatel SHINE LITE sports a fingerprint sensor, which can be found on the back side of the smartphone, giving users the ability to secure their device a bit more easily.
Alcatel is promising flagship design for under $300.
