Amid a flurry of sales from The Good Guys, Kogan.com, eBay and more, Amazon Australia has kept its pledge to undercut rivals, by kicking off its inaugural Prime Day at 12pm AEST today.
Lasting for 36 hours, Amazon’s “biggest” yearly sales event offers discounts up to 70% off, with several highly competitive tech deals.
According to Starcom, last year’s promotion saw Amazon sell nearly US$2.5 billion in one day.
Whilst some of the biggest discounts surround fashion, beauty and Amazon’s house-brand electronics, a little bit of digging unearths some attractive deals on consumer tech.
The sale is restricted to Amazon Prime members, however, individuals can take advantage of the Prime Day sale by registering for free trial membership.
Many Amazon Prime Day deals are already ‘100% claimed’, with wait lists available.
The e-commerce giant has also advised consumers to watch out for sporadic ‘flash sales’ throughout the sales event.
