Belkin is spreading the WeMo love, announcing compatibility with Android 4.0 (or higher) devices with its smart home automation platform
The fully functional WeMo app enables users to control home electronics on or off from anywhere from your Android smartphone or tablet using Wi-Fi and 3G/4G.
Belkin’s WeMo platform already has compatibility with Apple iOS.

Belkin’s WeMo Switch (F7C027auAPL) costs $59.95, while the WeMo Switch + Motion (F5Z0340auAPL), lets you turn on and off devices via motion alone for $119.95.
The app also integrates with social media via IFTTT online service that creates automated triggers using Facebook, email, weather.
For example, you can use IFTTT to create a rule that will send a text to your phone whenever a WeMo Switch + Motion senses motion. Pretty cool.
