HELSINKI -Finnish game maker Rovio, developer of the onetime hit mobile phone game Angry Birds, plans to axe about a third of its workforce. The company will cut 213 jobs, lower than forecast in
August, when it said up to 260 jobs would go, after flat sales and falling
profits.
Rovio has failed to create new hit games since the 2009 launch of Angry Birds,
the top paid mobile app of all time. Almost all of the job losses will be in
Finland.
