At a packed press conference in Sydney, UK digital radio company Pure who, in Australia, are partnering with Pioneer Electronics today rolled out 11 new digital radio options including new in car model right through to Wi Fi and iPod enabled devices.

Selected models in the Pure range will offer additional benefits, including iPod docking models, Internet connected models (for Internet radio), and CD players. According to Pure, its DAB+ range starts with an entry-level recommended retail price of $199 and advances up to $999.
Pure Australasia’s Managing Director, Graeme Redman said, “PURE is thrilled to help kick-start the launch of digital radio in Australia. We are 100 percent behind the move to digital radio with the initial release of eleven models and plan to introduce seven more models in the coming months.”
Pioneer Australia will be the company responsible in suppling Pure’s range of DAB+ digital radio products to the retail channel. “We are very pleased to have Pioneer as our partner for the Australian introduction of the world’s leading DAB+ digital radio receivers. Pioneer’s dedication to premium audio, whether it is in the home or car, is a brand quality shared by Pure.”

Pioneer Australia’s Managing Director, Toshio Izumi said, “Pioneer is thrilled by the prospect of working with the world leader in DAB+ digital radio and excited to be involved with the company that kick-started the digital radio revolution for the launch of this new technology in Australia.”
Australia’s major retailers have already agreed to stock the PURE brand, including Harvey Norman, Good Guys, Len Wallis, WOW, Dick Smith and Big W.
