Apple has filed a patent that will integrate the mapping/navigation application with the calendar and address book applications on the iPhone, according to tech website Unwiredview.com.Users will be able to enter their scheduling data, such as appointments, to the calendar and the new software automatically associates this data with the location on the map.
Users can also enter the location manually, so if you are meeting somebody at a restaurant, you fill in the name of the restaurant and the iPhone finds its location for you.
If you are a particularly busy person and have several scheduled meetings, the iPhone will also map out the best course to get to and from each meeting in the quickest possible time.
Another little thing that can make your life easier is that it will ping when you have to leave for the next meeting, and if you are stuck in traffic, it will prompt you to send a pre-selected message with a single touch.
