Sources say Apple has been working feverishly to fix software bugs in its hotly anticipated 10th-anniversary iPhone, due for September release.
The so-far unnamed model is expected to debut with a starting price of US$1200. It may be called the iPhone 8, iPhone Pro, or iPhone X, observers say.
The main concern is said to be the software for Apple’s new wireless charging technology .
Apple is believed to be using the Qi wireless charging standard or a variant of it, with the phone sitting directly on a separate charging device – a system which may now be disabled until the bugs are ironed out.
