Apple is planning to release an affordable version of its Macbook Air later this year, according to Apple specialist and KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Kuo spoke to 9to5Mac saying, the cheaper MacBook Air will be released in the second quarter of 2018 and this should push shipments as high as 15 per cent this year.
In Australia, the 13-inch MacBook Air sells for $999 for 128GB and $1,199 for 256GB.
Kuo believes the price point will be below $999. There are no further details on specifications and looks but watch this space because there will probably be a couple of leaks here and there knowing Apple products.
Kuo is known for his accurate reports, as he was spot on with the iPhone X last year.
