Apple claimed almost 70 percent of the enterprise smartphone market in the third quarter of 2014, thanks to the release of the iPhone 6, according to a new survey.
Good Technology’s latest Mobility Index Report claims that the iPhone accounted for 69 percent of global enterprise smartphone activations in Q3, up from 67 percent in Q2.
This is largely due to the September launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets, which GoodTech claims seem to have made a large dent in the business smartphone landscape.
Good Technology says the smaller iPhone is proving the more popular of the two, accounting for 85 percent of new iPhones activated during the three-month period.
The report also says that Android accounted for 29 percent of enterprise smartphone activations during the quarter, down from 31 percent in the previous quarter.
