Its hardly the discount of the year, but Apple has cut $50 off 13″ Macbook Air.Apple has (slightly) slashed the price and updated their MacBook Air with power efficient 4th generation Intel Core i5/ i7 processors.
The battery life is longer on MacBook Air – up to 12 hours sans charge on the 13″ and the 11-inch MacBook Air up to 9 hours. However, the price of the 11″ is still the same at $1099 but all other models have $50 knocked off the RRP.
There’s also at least 128GB of flash storage, Wi-Fi, and iLife and iWork, iPhotoapps and Intel HD Graphics 5000.
The faster 11-inch MacBook Air (1.4 GHz processor up to 2.7 GHz, 4GB memory and 128GB flash storage) still costs A$1099 but the 256GB version now costs A$1299 ($50 less than previous).
The 13-inch MacBook Air starts at A$1199, also $50 less.
“With MacBook Air starting at A$1099, there’s no reason to settle for anything less than a Mac,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior VP of Worldwide Marketing.
Apple’s new OS X Maverick has a bundle of new features and technologies that work with Intel Core processors to boost performance and battery life.
