Two new intelligent document scanners from Epson are set to improve the workflow of businesses using a set of innovative smart features.
The WorkForce DS-570W and DS-530 are compact, sheet-fed document scanners designed to integrate simply and efficiently into the workflow of businesses and organisations.
Both new scanners are capable of scanning at up to 35 pages per minute (70 impressions per minute), and are able to powerfully adapt the scanning process to cater for a wide variety of media types.
“With a new slow mode for scanning crumpled or fragile documents, and their innovative Double Feed Detection Skip, the ability to scan challenging media has never been easier,” said Epson Australia sales and marketing – consumer division GM Bruce Bealby.
“Intelligent features improve efficiency, accuracy and data reliability, and whether you’re scanning documents as long as six metres, paper as thin as 27 gsm, or card as thick as 413 gsm, you can rely on these models for rapid document processing at the highest quality.”
Double Feed Detection helps avoid misfeeds using an ultrasonic sensor, while the Dynamic Skew Correction feature can prevent paper jams and misfeeds. An Automatic Feeding Mode can also allow originals of varying sizes to be scanned into a single PDF file.
The WorkForce DS-570W adds wireless connectivity, allowing documents to be transferred easily to mobiles, tablets and Wi-Fi-enabled work stations, as well as online storage accounts such as Dropbox and SharePoint.
The WorkForce DS-570W is available now for RRP $549 and the DS-530 for RRP $599 from selected Epson resellers and retailers.
