Arlo has announced the local availability of its next-gen security camera system, with the all-new Pro 3 hitting Australian retailers’ shelves in early October.
Pro 3 camera systems, which include the new SmartHub, start at $949 for a 2-camera system, while add-on Pro 3 cameras will start at $419.
It comes with several new features including 2K HDR, integrated spotlight with colour night vision, built-in siren that can be triggered from the Arlo app, super-wide 160-degree field of view, two-way audio, and an updated SmartHub for better network traffic management.
Engineered to work indoors and outdoors, Pro 3 offers advanced image quality for DIY security that’s easy to install and monitor from anywhere via the Arlo app.
The 2K image quality boasts nearly 80% more pixels than its predecessor, and with the brand-new image sensor, Pro 3 can record video at up to 2K in resolution with HDR for enhanced clarity across light and dark areas.
The device’s wire-free design includes a weather-resistant housing that can be installed at nearly any angle via a magnetic mount or screw mount for added physical security.
Colour night vision further differentiates Pro 3 from other security cameras on the market, while the advanced two-way audio allows for clear, natural conversations through the built-in microphone and speaker.
The new system includes a rechargeable, longer-lasting battery, along with a magnetic charging cable, which can also be used to directly power the device.
Pro 3 also comes with a three-month trial of Arlo Smart, the company’s AI and computer vision-based service which delivers advanced detection of people, vehicles, animals and packages.
In addition, Arlo Smart enables personalised notifications with custom activity zones and cloud storage for video recordings.
Users also have the ability to further customise their set-up with convenient add-ons like solar panels, extended charging cables, or a dual charging station.
