The TV range will initially be launched in Korea and depending on its popularity into other markets next year said a Samsung spokesperson.
Another option being explored is the possibility of only selling the screen through the specialist market.
The Samsung-Armani alliance was the first strategic collaboration of electronics and fashion companies that involved cooperation at every stage, from design to marketing.
Samsung in publicity material claims the combination of its flat television technology and Armani’s simple yet sophisticated design makes the TV an object of the highest functionality when turned on and a beautiful piece of furniture when switched off.
The TV sports a technology dubbed “Auto Motion Plus 120 Hz,” which reduces motion blur for twice the definition of normal HD TVs, and Infolink RSS, which connects it to the Internet. A limited number of Armani Pavv TVs is on sale in major department stores.
