Film star Ashton Kutcher, who played Steve Jobs in the recent movie Jobs, and also has a double life as “product engineer” at Lenovo, will pay a visit to Australia in January, he told yesterday’s Sydney launch event via live stream from the USA.
He will be making an appearance at a marketing innovations event, the audience was told – though feedback and stuttering delivery in the streaming session made some of his conversation barely understandable.
Video showed Kutcher liaising with Lenovo’s development team and appearing to make productive suggestions.
Despite suggestions in some quarters that his “product engineer” role may just be PR imagery, David Roman assured the audience that Kutcher is a genuine product, holding an engineering degree, and that he makes very real contributions to product development.
