As monitors are reaching peak graphics performance, gaming monitor brand ASUS is moving into the design space, directly taking on BenQ with its new line of photography-focused ProArt Professional Monitors.

Self-touted no.1 gaming monitor brand for 2015-2018, ASUS claims their new range ProArt Professional Monitor is “The Essential Tool for Photography”.

A clear reference to BenQ’s  phtography-focused line which is dubbed: “The Photographer’s Monitor” that’s “engineered for photographers.”

Ahead of the annual IEM in Sydney, ASUS was pushing its latest updated line of gaming notebooks. On the floor, they also advertised their ProArt line.

Geared towards graphic designers, photographers, and video production, all of which require the same level of clarity and graphics precision that a gaming monitor would provide, which ASUS is known for.

Whereas BenQ breaks up its lines of monitors with models specific for design, photography and post-production, ASUS claims its ProArt offerings produce all the specs each of these factions would require.

Of course, to the discerning and budget-conscious consumer, finding the one monitor to do it all is preferable.
