Asus, who has a reputation for trying to be first to market, has hit a major snag in their attempt to launch their new Transformer Prime tablet up against the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia.According to company sources, the problem relates to the quality of the Wi Fi connection.
ASUS said that the range of the Wi-Fi on the metal-shelled tablet didn’t “meet their standards” and was being improved before shipments started.
Electronista said moving the Transformer Prime to 2012 could dash Asus’ hopes of making near-term gains in tablets.
According to sources the Taiwanese Company has shipped around 350,000 Primes in the USA making the tablet one of the most popular outside of the iPad.
The timing could see the tablet ship much closer to its upgrade for Android 4.0 and spur on significant boosts in speed on the web and the general interface.
