At least one Australian software company has scored a gong from Apple at its Worldwide Developers Conference here, attended by around 5000 developers from around the globe.

Brisbane-based Halfbrick scored an Apple Design Award for its iPhone game JetPack Joyride, which is said to have been downloaded 25 million times.
The game was designed by Luke Muscat and his team as the latest in a series of titles starring Halfbrick’s hero character Barry Steakfries, according to a Halfbrick media release.
It shared the top award in the iPhone category with two prestigious companies: Disney for Where’s My Water, and National Geographic for National Parks.Its success follows the earlier triumph of another Halfbrick game, Fruit Ninja, which has been download 300 million times.
