TomTom has launched a $199 GPS device that can help introduce in-car navigation to users unfamiliar with the technology.

According to the company, its IQ Routes provides Start users with the fastest route no matter the time of day, with its database of over 800 billion speed profiles worldwide. It comes with TomTom’s Latest Map Guarantee that ensures that users have the latest Whereis map.
In addition, the Start also comes with safety camera locations (red light and speed), visual and audible warnings, and Help me! menu for one touch assistance when required.
TomTom Australia and New Zealand’s Marketing Manager, Chris Kearney said, “With the introduction of TomTom Start, navigation has never been so accessible. We have redefined ease of use and taken affordable navigation to the next level – and this is done while always providing drivers with the fastest route to their destination with TomTom IQ Routes.”
The TomTom Start is available starting this month for $199.
