Samsung Note II 5.5-inch HD display “phablet” with stylus S pen was announced this week in Oz to much applause by tech community.
Optus users can order the device now and get in within a week or around 6-8 working days.
Meanwhile, Telstra won’t be selling Samsung Galaxy Note II until early 2013, it said on a blog yesterday.
However, Optus has not got an exclusive on the Samsung phablet, a cross between a smartphone and a tablet, a spokesperson told SmartHouse, but they appear to have got pre-orders up sooner than rivals.
Vodafone, too, have been noticably quiet about its Note II plans, so far, but is definitely selling the new Note.
The device will also be sold at Samsung store in Sydney in either marble white and titanium grey from $899 (for 16GB model) outright from next week.
Optus have announced a slew of plans on the 4G ready Note II from $30, $60 all the way to $99, $129 caps.
Optus middle of the road $60 plan (+$7 handset replayment) receive $650 of included value, 1.5GB data, unlimited Optus to Optus mobile voice calls and standard texts in Australia.
The device can also be pre-ordered from the Samsung Experience Store.
