Apple failed to anticipate a fashion disaster when it made the iPhone 6 and was plagued with reports of the smartphone bending and breaking when users tried to squeeze the model into tight jeans or pants. Now a little-known Chinese start-up says it has solved
the problem and is selling what it says are the first bendable smartphones.
Moxi Group says it will ship 100,000 of the devices this year which will sell
for about 5000 yuan (A$1064).
The Moxi bendable is designed to be rolled into a bracelet and worn on the
wrist. The touchscreen reportedly works when curled up or can be unfurled into
rectangles and used as a regular smartphone.
