BenQ has introduced two new 4K home projectors, the TK705i and TK705STi, designed for households that desire both cinema-style visuals and responsive gaming.
Both models offer 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, images up to 150 inches, and 98% Rec.709 colour coverage using the company’s CinematicColor and HDR-PRO tone mapping.
Affordable, user-friendly projectors are giving big-screen TVs a run for their money
Google TV is built in with certified Netflix support, so users can stream without needing an external device.
For gaming, BenQ is promoting HDMI 2.1 with Auto Low-Latency Mode and an input lag it claims is as low as 5ms at 4K/60Hz.
The TK705i features a motorised zoom for flexible placement, while the TK705STi utilises short-throw optics for smaller rooms.
On paper, the new projectors combine home-cinema brightness with gamer-focused latency claims and integrated streaming capabilities.
If the 5ms input lag is confirmed in independent testing, the TK705i and TK705STi could be strong mid-range alternatives to massive TVs for Australian buyers.
In Europe, the TK705i is priced at €1,399 ($2,500) and the TK705STi at €1,599 ($2,850).
Australian pricing and availability have not been announced.
