The lineup expands BenQ’s push into the premium OLED gaming market, going head-to-head with the likes of ASUS and Samsung.
The EX271QZ is a 27-inch QHD model pitched at esports players and will be available in December.
BenQ quotes up to 540Hz for the EX271QZ, although most independent reports describe the panel as having a refresh rate of 500Hz.
Either way, it represents one of the fastest refresh rates yet promised for a consumer monitor.
It pairs that speed with 0.03ms grey-to-grey response times, meaning gamers can look forward to swift motion with minimal blur.
Likewise, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support will keep stutter, lag and tearing to a minimum.
Connectivity is through DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression and HDMI 2.1.
The other two models, the 27-inch EX271UZ and 32-inch EX321UZ, target gamers who want 4K resolution at 240Hz and will be available in February.
The EX321UZ will ship with DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C, providing 80Gbps bandwidth for 4K/240Hz.
The EX271UZ relies on DP 1.4 (DSC) and HDMI 2.1.
Ben Q’s new monitors promise a visual feast for gamers
Reports suggest the EX321UZ may hit a 1,000-nit peak brightness, although BenQ has yet to confirm HDR specifications.
All three models use fourth-generation QD-OLED panels, claim 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and come factory-calibrated to DeltaE<2.
BenQ is also promoting a ‘Color Shuttle’ feature offering 120-plus preset profiles tuned for popular AAA games.
That means gamers can look forward to a full range of cinematic colours tuned for near-perfect colour accuracy.
“We see gaming as a visual journey across beautifully crafted worlds,” said Ajen Liao, Head of IT Display Products at BenQ Corporation.
“The new MOBIUZ EX Series is designed to bring those aesthetic elements to life. We analysed games in depth, fine-tuned colour details based on game art books to reflect creators’ artistic intent and players’ immersive expectations.”
Pricing is expected at around US$1000 ($1,600) for the EX271UZ, US$1,300 ($2,100) for the EX321UZ, and US$900 (A$1,450) for the EX271QZ.
