With two BenQ Ultra High Definition monitors in constant use in our home office, it’s fair to say we expected a lot from the brand’s new flagship model called the BL3201PT.

monitors, the 32-inch BL3201PT’s 4K2K ultra-high-definition (UHD) resolution
made work and play that much more enjoyable.
”Why so?” do we hear you ask? Well, surf the web, compose
a word document, or playback a video clip on a monitor with less resolution and
then switch back to the BL3201PT.
Yes, you’ll see a lot more detail and colours that have
oodles of vibrancy. But the major benefit of this monitor’s 4K2K UHD resolution
is that peering at the screen becomes a lot easier, and dare we say it,
enjoyable.
This is a huge plus-point for anyone who like us, is staring
into a monitor screen for hours on end, day-in day-out.
But this is also exactly the outcome the BenQ designers
wanted. To achieve the goal of creating a monitor that’s so nice to use, BenQ
went back to consumers and analysed their basic computing needs.

BenQ has certainly delivered with a monitor that can handle
with consummate ease the demanding visual-intensive work that’s an inherent
part of CAD/CAM design, animation, video editing and graphic arts.
Pressing the preset buttons on the OSD controller allows
switching between custom display modes quickly. CAD/CAM Mode delivers exacting
detailed viewing of complex wireframes with razor sharp clarity. Selecting
Animation Mode gives users huge amounts of detail and clarity with 10-level
display brightness adjustment that reveals subtle details in darkened areas.
Switch to eye-caring Low Blue Light Mode and this reduces
harmful blue light emission.
The BL3201PT’s enjoyability factor is enhanced by its use of
100% sRGB, IPS technology in tandem with the very latest 4K2K UHDS resolution
that has a massive 3840×2160 pixel count.
The former technology ensures stable and accurate colour
rendition no matter how detailed the task or great the variety of viewing
angles.
With a post-graduate student studying architecture in our
home the BL3201PT was put through its paces. It got the thumbs up thanks to its
very useful range of custom design modes installed to get the very best design
efficiency.
These modes are carefully chosen and include, CAD/CAM Mode
and Animation mode. Both makes using the new monitor a pleasure rather than a
chore.
Being a flagship model, the BL3201PT is feature studded and
has five USB 3.0 ports, SD Card Reader, I/O ports including two HDMI ports, one
DP port, one mDP port and one DVI-DL port.
As for multi-tasking, that’s a breeze on the new BenQ thanks
to the Desktop Partition Function and the brand’s Display Pilot software designed
to manage multitasking and make it enjoyable.
