BenQ has released its latest compact projector – the TH682ST – a short throw projector which retails for $1399 and is aimed at the small business and educational sectors.
The TH682ST has Full HD native resolution, 3000 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. All of these features give it, according to BenQ, the ability “to deliver a presentation with full impact and the finest of details regardless of the ambient light level in the room.”
Small and compact, the TH682ST is a short throw projector which can be used in tight spaces because it needs less than a metre distance to throw a big picture. According to BenQ, another useful feature of short throw projection is the limited disruption to the projected content, which can sometimes happen when something or someone obscures the image by disrupting the flow of the projector light. “Because short throw projectors are in close proximity to the screen or wall, there is little to no shadowing throughout the projected presentation,” states BenQ.
The new TH682ST supports multiple video formats including 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, allowing it to present in the latest video formats with HD quality. Built with DLP technology, it also supports Bluray, Full HD 3D functionality.
The inclusion of BenQ’s Smart Eco technology, the TH682ST offers power savings, making the projector particularly appealing to schools and education facilities, as well as small business entities.
Smart Eco is a technology which analyses and determines for itself the most efficient settings for the environment in which the projector is operating, which helps to prolong lamp life and reduce the overall cost of ownership of the projector.
