BenQ have introduced two new monitors with a focus on providing “class-leading” eye-care along with improved technology and design.
Both new monitors in the new GW80 series – the 24-inch GW2480 and the 27-inch GW2780 – are Full HD 1080p and offer a choice between an IPS panel with 178-degree viewing angles or a TN panel for a 2ms response time.
“The GW80 series embody the latest in BenQ design sensibility,” said Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation.
With a design the company describes as “industrial” and “minimalist”, the new monitors are finished with a premium texture and feature edge to edge 6.6mm bezels that are almost half the size of their predecessors.
“Their beautifully graceful forms seamlessly integrate natural functionality to promote utter simplicity in daily life and work,” Lee said.
This focus on “utter simplicity” also extends to the cable management system of the GW80 series monitors that hides and organises cables in the monitor stand.
BenQ’s exclusive Low Blue Light and Flicker-free technologies help to reduce eye fatigue when using the monitors for an extended period, as well as Brightness Intelligence Technology that can subtly adjust monitor brightness to match ambient lighting conditions.
The GW80 series monitors will be available in July from selected BenQ Partnered resellers. The GW2480 will sell for RRP $229 and the GW2780 for RRP $309. More information can be found at the BenQ website.
