To make noise cancelling headphones that satisfied its engineers, Harman Kardon decided to create their own technology rather than borrow on existing systems, and created the proprietary Harman closed-loop, active digital noise-cancelling technology found in the their NC headphones.
A single rechargeable battery lasting up to 40 hours is used, and cleverly, if the battery does die, by connecting the headphones via cable to an output device, they can still be used.
Construction is done using self-adjusting housing, soft leather cups and slow retention ear cup foam ensuring a comfortable fit as well as an acoustic seal. The end result is high performance wrapped in an elegant package.
