The Dell owned Alienware Company, who has a reputation for high-performance gaming and desktop PC’s as well as high end media servers is set to roll out a major reseller program. Among those targeted are high end installers, CEDIA members and organisations who want a custom built media server that will also deploy a lighting or sound management system in an automated house.
Alienware who are based in South Australia is also targeting specialist resellers who can sell the option of a custom built Alienware system.
The Company who recently launched a high end media server with a 1000 Watt sub woofer is also testing the release of a Hangar18 HD home entertainment media center that comes with a full suite of home automation software from Lifeware software, a Blu ray disc player and HD video recorder for recording and the playing back of 1080p content via a HDMI connection. It also comes with 4 hot swappable storage bays.
The server also has 4 TV tuners, Internal Cable Card port (OCUR). 7.1 Optical Audio output (Toslink) Up to 4 terabytes of hard disk drive storage, Dolby Digital 7.1 pre-amp output, with digital audio out (Coaxial and Optical).
Matthew Early, general manager of Alienware in Australia said “We are keen to build relationships with both the specialist installers of home automation and the traditional reseller channel. We have already signed up resellers in Sydney and on the Gold Coast and over the next few weeks we will be announcing additional partners”.

Currently the Company sells online to build to order customers however the move to a online combined with reseller model could help the Company expand quickly in Australia.
