Vodafone Hutchison Australia has announced that the Blackberry Storm 2 will be available for its Vodafone and 3 customers on the $69 cap this Thursday, 11 March 2010.

Aimed at the ‘global jet setter’, the Blackberry Storm 2 will be available staring this Thursday. The Storm 2 has a 3.25-inch TFT LCD screen, measures 112.5 x 62 x 13.9 mm, and weighs 160 grams. Other available features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA, 3.2-megapixel camera, as well as multimedia functions.
As reported by SmartHouse last year, RIM claims that it has solved many of the problems that plagued the original device. It has upgraded the touchscreen, which fuelled many complaints and made it far more responsive. The company has also made the call pick-up, end, menu and back buttons part of the touchscreen, while the keys on the side are now made of durable rubber.
The $69 Vodafone Cap comes with unlimited Vodafone-to-Vodafone calls, $450 worth of calls and messages, and 500MB of data or Unlimited Blackberry Email & Internet Browsing + 500MB.
The $69 3 Cap comes with unlimited 3-to-3 calls, $450 worth of calls and messages, News and Info or Sport (Planet 3), and 100MB of data of Unlimited Blackberry data + 100MB.
In addition to the Storm 2, VHA will also be launching the Nokia X6, Samsung Wave, Samsung 65310, Sony Ericsson X10, and LG Mini in the next couple of months.
