Blue has announced the brand new Yeti X, their first Logitech-integrated condenser microphone.
Coming October this year, the content creator oriented microphone will be available for an RRP of $299.95.
It comes after Logitech acquired Blue Microphone last year in a bid to compete with gaming peripheral brands like Razer and HyperX targeting content creators such as YouTube production and podcasters.
With built-in compatibility with Logitech’s gaming software, G-Hub, Blue’s flagship state-of-the-art USB microphone is designed for professional gaming and content creation.
The Yeti X is a great first step towards the burgeoning market, with Blue Microphones president and CEO, John Maier saying, “we created Yeti X based on feedback from content creators all over the world, who need fast and easy-to-use tools that help them sound their very best”.
The microphone features a four-capsule condenser array which Blue says allows for more precise and more focused audio from the microphone’s four pickup patterns.
The illuminated multi-function smart knob allows for simple and effective monitoring of audio levels in real-time.
By integrating the new microphone into the Logitech G-Hub software kit, the plug-and-play microphone gains even more functionality beyond previous models.
Coupled with the G-Hub integration is Blue’s VO!CE technology, a software that efficiently manages mic gain, headphone volume and other audio monitoring features for both Mac and PC users.
Debuting earlier this year with the Logitech G Pro X gaming headphones, the software allows for easy switching between microphone pickup modes from cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional and stereo mode.
The microphone comes with a small desktop stand and an included 2m USB cable for quick plug-and-play operation.
