Bang & Olufsen has improved its existing docks and speakers by making them compatible with Apple’s new standard and throwing new colours into the mix.
Three Bang & Olufsen (B&O) products have received an update, including the company’s premium BeoPlay A8 iPhone dock.
B&O BeoPlay A8 |
The exquisite dock is now compatible with Apple’s iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, but the update hasn’t come at the expense of Apple’s older product portfolio as it retains compatibility with the previous 30-point-pin.
We’re growing tired of the wired approach (who can be bothered with the incompatibility issues anyway?) which is why it’s refreshing to see the A8 has Apple’s AirPlay on board. Additionally, there are two new speaker covers to choose from, including French Roast and Ultramarine Green.
B&O BeoPlay A9 |
B&O’s BeoPlay A9 will be making its way into stores this November. It’s an all-in-one wireless speaker that is compatible with Apple’s AirPlay and DLNA. It’s a striking speaker that resembles an off-centred drum, but a beautiful one at that. The A9 has an interchangeable front fabric and can be wall mounted.
B&O BeoPlay A3 |
The final addition to B&O’s revamped range is the BeoPlay A3. The A3 turns iPads into an entertainment station, matching the Retina resolution with B&O’s flavoured sound. Unfortunately it’s a little archaic by being compatible with iPads up to the 3rd generation.
B&O Play products can be purchased in Bang & Olufsen shops, selected lines are available at selected David Jones, Apple retailers and Apple’s on-line store.
