B&O who have struggled in Australia for many years has joined a long list of European manufacturers who are finding it hard to manufacture at home.
Hi Fi and TV manufacturer B&O’s production is moving abroad for the first time in the company’s history.
Last week, B&O was forced to open a factory in the eastern part of the Czech Republic due to a lack of Danish engineers. The company has more than 20 open jobs for engineers but has been unable to find qualified applicants domestically. B&O has invested DKK 100m in the Czech factory, which employs 120 – a number that is expected to increase to 200 next year.
