Bosch has unveiled its first ever industrial-style 800 Series cooking line ranges and rangetops at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.

The global electronics company said the series presents a new, invigorated design and is being released onto the market at a time when eight in 10 renovators said they would be changing their kitchen style, according to homeowners surveyed by Houzz last year.

The study also revealed the participants also had an interest in appliances with professional styling and capabilities.

Fittingly, the 800 Series line feature a propriety design that is new to Bosch, which the company adding reflects the top three consumer needs in the cooking category: more cooking space, improved cleaning capacity and powerful burners for quality results.

Anja Prescher, director or brand management at Bosch home appliances, said in a statement that ‘… our goal was to marry the bold, prominent look of professional-style appliances with the modern, sleek Bosch design philosophy.’

Key features for the models in the new range include die-cast metal, pedestal feet that’s in line with current industrial style, front control knobs, continuous cast-iron grates and availability for both models in 30-inch or 36-inch sizes.

Consumers can also choose between a classic stainless steel aesthetic or black stainless steel.

The 36-inch gas rangetops include six high-efficiency burners, including two 18K BTU dual-flame burners and 77K of power.

Additionally, the Bosch Dual-Flame Ring Burner, available on ranges and rangetops, is said to allow for better heat distribution and uniform cooking – all on the same burner.

The technology allows consumers to switch between a small flame for simmering to a dual flame for boiling if they are using a single burner with two concentric rings.

The range tops also feature Bosch’s OptiSim Burner Cap for more precise flame control at the lowest setting, as well as more accurate simmering and melting.

The burner cap is said to evenly distribute flames across the base of the pot or pan, eliminating hot spots while reducing the possibility of scorching or uneven cooking.

Bosch has not yet announced the release of the Series 800 onto the Australian market.
