Bose is expected to reveal a new version of its popular QuietComfort 35 wireless noise cancelling headphones with built-in Google Assistant.
9to5Google reported the new QuietComfort 35 II headphones would feature Google Assistant based on information from a fact sheet intended for retail employees. The QC35 II will be one of the first headphones to integrate Google’s voice assistant.
Previous reports have revealed headphones featuring Google Assistant built-in are codenamed ‘Bisto’ in code from Google, potentially referring to the QC35 II and possibly other headphones as well.
Last week, Google posted a new category for headphones on its support website, suggesting the company may also release its own Bisto headphones, possibly at the same time as the Pixel 2 at an event on October 5.
Packaging of the headphones also leaked on Reddit, which displayed an Android logo alongside another logo indicating ‘Google Assistant built-in’.
It’s currently unclear when Bose will announce or release the QC35 II,but 9to5Google’s source was told by Australian retailer Life Style Store that they were coming in “2-3 weeks” and will retail at the same $499 price point as the current QC 35.
