Documents sent to Apple stores and certified re-sellers have revealed Apple will not replace old iPhone 6 Plus batteries due to a lack of supplies until late March, early April.

The documents obtained by MacRumors, says there is a wait for close to two weeks for iPhone 6 and 6s Plus battery replacements. The documents also notes batteries for other models such as the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are expected to be available without extended delays in most countries.

Apple has been in hot water recently after it confessed to slowing down its older devices to preserve the older batteries and with hopes consumers would upgrade to a newer model. The company then announced it would be discounting the sale of batteries worldwide with prices in Australia dropping from $119 to $39 – a whopping $80 discount.

A source spoke to MacRumors saying third-party re-sellers are able to set their own prices for out-of-warranty parts and repairs meaning consumers could be paying more than $39 for a new battery.
