Diamonds aren’t just for the ladies it seems with the unveiling of Bowers & Wilkins limited edition top end loudspeaker, the Signature Diamond.
The Diamond is a two-way floor standing loudspeaker designed to celebrate the company’s fortieth anniversary. Only 500 numbered pairs of each finish will be manufactured, with each pair retailing for a cool $28,000 on an order-only basis from select dealers.

The speaker features a pure Diamond Dome Nautilus tube loaded 25mm tweeter in a decoupled top mounted pod; a new Kevlar cone 180mm bass/midrange driver featuring a new noiseless phase-plug; an ear-tuned first-order crossover network, and Flowport equipped downward firing reflex port.
The Signature Diamond’s technologies are clothed in a Matrix braced cylindrical and elliptical form enclosure finished in either White or a Japanese inspired Wakame veneer. On top of the enclosure, the tweeter pod is carved from Italian marble.
Design and development of the Signature Diamond was a cooperative effort between Bowers & Wilkins’ Senior Development Engineer, John Dibb, and the company’s long term industrial design collaborator Kenneth Grange CBE.
